Project Director Olefins And Derivatives

The candidate will operate as Project Director (PD), reporting directly to the Senior Project Director.  He will be responsible to manage all activities related to the Olefins and Derivative scope (including, but not limited to Ethylene Oxide / Ethylene Glycol and Ethanol Amine, Polypropylene, Polyethylene, and a Naphtha Cracker Complex which will include also Butadiene and MTBE and other smaller process units), namely:

Technologies selection

FEED Contractors selection

FEED execution

EPC bidding and EPC Contractors selection

EPC execution up to plant performance test run and steady operation

The PD shall lead an Integrated OWNER/PMC Team, and will be directly responsible to manage all Contractors and Third Parties in order to achieve the defined Project Targets in terms of safety performances, quality, costs vs. budget, schedule and plant operability.

PD shall initially be based in Houston, until the selection of EPC Contractors will be finalized. Then he will have to share his time between the various involved EPC Contractors’ Offices and then he shall permanently move to Abu Dhabi as soon as the Project will require it.

Profile

Engineering degree

Minimum 15 years experience as Project Director and/or Project Manager of large EPC projects (> 1 Bill. USD) preferably an Ethylene Cracker.

Consolidated experience of management of Projects in the GCC Countries

Availability to relocate for long periods.

Good attitude to manage and motivate a Team

Good negotiating and presentation skills

Fluent English
