Job Purpose
• To lead the Static Pumping Division assuring Availability and Reliability of personnel and equipments for the satisfaction of our customers. Further promotes maximum resource utilization.
Key Result Areas (Key Accountabilities)
1. Lead all teams in all areas of UAE where the company is Operating Static Pumps.
2. Perform to the best of your ability, and carry-on the tasks assigned to you. As regards to Area Supervisors and Team Foremen, you shall:
a. Lead, instruct and supervise their team members and set as an example
b. Staff Place Stationery Pumps in their Pumping Positions with speed and accuracy
c. Organize Teams in connecting Pipes to form the Static Pumping Pipelines, and continuously maintain the Pipelines to reach the required pumping outlet Positions.
d. Instruct Teams to properly fit pipeline brackets to ensure pipeline stability
e. Ensure the Static Pumps are working properly, and to report any defect that you may find to the Fleet inspector and/or Workshops Division
f. Advise fitting manual distributors or place booms into its operational position
g. Instruct operators to maintain the height of the boom from the floor, as required for pumping, by jacking the boom upwards or whenever required.
h. Observe and encourage safety practices,
i. Complete the job and minimize
i. Delays in initiating the concrete pour
ii. The non-pumping time of the Pour
j. Report any misbehaviour of personnel to the Supply Chain Operations Manager, any Foreman or team member not co-operating, or contravening in the required task for the day.
3. Perform spot checks on your teams and ensure they are being utilized effectively, and record these findings.
4. Maximize loading of concrete in every pump either Static Pumps, Placing Booms & Manual Distributors, by sharing pumps between sites based on the daily program, and moving pumps to required positions quickly and cost efficiently.
5. Discuss with customers their static pumping requirements before the Contract is finalized and the pumping price is set, so that appropriate equipment & requirements are planned for and the highest pumping price can be charged without losing the Job.
a. This will facilitate forward planning for new equipment requirements and re-location planning for existing equipment
6. Ensure Your Static Pumping and Delivery Equipment (Booms and Pipelines) is maintained at the correct Intervals and are made available for this purpose to the Pumps Mechanical Division. Maintain a register for this Purpose.
7. Plan in advance for other requirements, such as Pipes and Brackets, and order well in time, as well as keeping a stock in each area as required. Always keep the companies Pricing Strategy in mind when sourcing requirements. The final order will be placed for you from the Pumps Division Workshops, and the stocks will be stored there until drawing from the Stores commence.
8. Report weekly to the Supply Chain Operations Manager, the activities in each area as well as site in summary format including machinery & manpower allocated, concrete pumped, project status and site problems being faced and how it was resolved.
9. Control and assure that targeted profits were met.
Knowledge and Experience
1. A Management related Diploma with post qualification experience of around 5 years in a similar industry / plant.
2. Knowledge of Construction and High Rise Concrete Pumping
3. Strong interpersonal and training skills
4. Good planning, problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
Job Context
1. Regular and frequent visits to working sites, observing the performance of the teams & pumps.
2. Concrete design and supervision activities.
3. Interaction with Customers on sites.
4. Dealing with technical matters requiring prompt decision making.
