Verification Lead – Operational Integrity Assurance

Location

Dubai (Office based but occasional offshore visits expected)

Qualifications

• HND equivalent or Degree in relevant Engineering discipline, supported by formal qualification in Integrity / Quality Management preferred.
• At least 10 years relevant integrity assurance / quality management experience, including direct experience of offshore O&M and Projects with structured management  systems to assure integrity.
• Previous experience as a Verification Engineer would be appropriate.
• Must be a self-starter, work with minimal supervision and be a good communicator (written and verbal) to all levels of the organisation.
• Must be able to motivate and influence personnel not directly under his authority.
• Must be medically fit for offshore travel, when required.

Role

Focal point for Integrity Assurance and Quality Management co-ordination of the verification activities associated with integrity management functions embedded in the Operational Groups. Lead co-ordination of assurance activities for Independent Competent Party (ICP) verification and Corporate Integrity Review audits.

Duties

• Directly promote sound HSE management in all actvities associated with this role.
• By providing specialist support, review and internal audit with the embedded Integrity Engineers and Functional Managers verify the development and effective operation of Management Systems by all Groups associated with Integrity Assurance for Operations. Groups include Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Operations, Wells, Maintenance and Supply Chain.
• By providing specialist support, review and internal audit with the Safety Critical Element (SCE) Owners and Authorities verify compliance with the SCE Performance Standards, ITM Strategies and Verification Protocols.
• By providing specialist support, review and analysis of audit findings verify that the procedures, practices and competencies required to assure Operational Integrity are in place and we are prepared for compliance audits. Maintain Remedial Actions Register and identify owners to resolve issues.
• Co-ordinate with Independent Competent Party (ICP) representative and Corporate Integrity Review Groups and prepare verification requirements for their periodic audits
• Regular review of A&OIA related Non-Conformance Register issues and lead update meetings to assign action parties to clear issues identified.
• Maintain and analyse the register of Operational Risk Assessments (ORA’s) recording mitigating actions implemented when facilities are operated outwith the design criteria. Monitor and report trends at monthly A&OIA review meetings.
• Participate in the periodic Process Hazard Assessments (PHA’s) of our offshore facilities as a team member.
Participate in Corporate and external activities to ensure current developments in Integrity Management techniques and practices are being applied, as appropriate to our facilities, in accordance with “good oilfield practice”.
