Job Description
Duties of the position will include: the investigation and analysis of residential (emphasis), commercial, and industrial properties for the purpose of resolving claims and legal disputes.
Candidates will be expected to assist in the determination of the cause, origin, and extent of structural failures, seismic damages, geotechnical failures, water intrusions, construction defects and other failures.
Profile
Qualified candidates should have a thorough knowledge and understanding of foundation settlement investigations, structural assessments, site evaluations, sub-surface investigations and vibration analysis.
Candidates will be required to prepare oral and written reports that document causes of failure, extent of loss, and recommended remediation, provide opinions and expert testimony.
Other duties include gathering photographic evidence, conducting investigations to document onsite conditions and oversee field-testing.
Qualified candidates should have 15 years + of relevant experience.
Candidates should have a B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field.
A Civil Engineering PE license in California and/or Seismic and Structural (SE) certifications are also preferred.
Candidates must posses strong communication skills and be able to deliver presentations to clients for the purposes of both litigation support.
